I can't tell you enough how truly wonderful Mrs. Deborah Berkman really is. I would like to take this time to remind many of you, that when buying a home either for the first time, or more, let alone selling your home can be a stressful period in time. I can't thank Deborah enough from the bottom, of my heart, her help during my first time home buying experience was unbelievable, remarkable, and memorable. My only regret was that I had not met her sooner during the process. In 2012, I was a returning from a 7 month combat deployment in Afghanistan and all I wanted to do was buy a nice home in a quiet area. Unfortunately, the first real estate I worked with did not take me seriously at all, because I was only 21 years old. The second real-estate agent I worked with was not any better, and refused to show me homes even though I was pre-approved. Deborah Berkman was the third agent I worked with, and she will be the only agent I will ever work with now. She saw past my very young age and treated me no different than she treated her clients. She showed me homes that were well within the scope of what I was looking for and was prompt in returning her calls whenever I had a question about a home or paperwork. Deborah went above and beyond what was required of her, and even advocated on my behalf when underwriters gave me a difficult time securing a mortgage all because of my age. After a 5 month long battle of facing age discrimination from home sellers, agents, and underwriters, I was able to move into my home on October 22 2012, all because of Deborah Berkmans tireless efforts in making sure I was treated fairly by everybody. In March 2014, I was activated for a second combat deployment. And I needed to find tenants immediately to occupy my home in a very short notice. I called Deborah Berkman and within a week she had set me up with a tenant that was an absolute pleasure to work. Deborah made my second deployment significantly easier to deal with because I had confidence that the tenants that she found for me would treat my home with the utmost respect. I am looking to put my home for sale when I complete my renovations, and I will certaintly have Debby be my sellers agent when that day comes. I would absolutely recommend Deborah Berkmans services to anybody who is looking to buy a home.

All three homes sold over the market price, with bidding wars and offers to cancel open houses - unbelievable! Debbie was most helpful in everyway - she made suggestions on getting the first house ready, and after that I was an expert in staging the other two houses. Debbie has lots of resources at her fingertips and explained everything, assisted in getting any issues resolved from locating documents to getting repairs done quickly and efficiently. She goes out of her way to do the best possible job for her clients. My first experience with her compassion came when I was interested in buying a vacation home in Florida. She connected me with a childhood friend of hers who was licensed in Florida and I successfully closed on the deal, with her checking up for me during the entire process. It is not often that you find a person who is unselfish when it comes to money! Next, I listed my home in St James, NY with her. She hired photographers, video photographers, and advertised the house widely. She gave advice on de cluttering and staging the house for the sale. She makes the client feel comfortable asking questions about any issues. She recommends movers as well as other invaluable resources. She is truly a wonderful, caring professional and an expert in her field!

Everything throughout the entire buying process went as planned and smoothly. She has excellent resources for finding a great mortgage rate. I looked at several properties that I thought were viable choices. Debbie was very diligent about negotiating and got me a great price! Highly recommend using her services!!
